# How to export your filament spools from Spool Buddy & import into SimplyPrint

This guide explains how to export your spool data from the Spool Buddy app and import it into SimplyPrint's Filament Manager.

## Exporting from Spool Buddy

### Mac
1. Open **Spool Buddy** on your Mac
2. Click **File** in the menu bar
3. Click **Export to CSV**
4. Choose a save location and save the file

### iPhone / iPad
1. Open **Spool Buddy** on your device
2. Tap the **settings gear** icon in the top left corner

3. Tap **Export to CSV** under the Export section

4. Save or share the file to your computer

## Importing into SimplyPrint
1. In SimplyPrint, go to **Filament Manager** and click **Import**
2. Upload the CSV file you exported from Spool Buddy
3. SimplyPrint will auto-detect the Spool Buddy format
4. Review the preview - you'll see how each spool will be matched to brands and materials
5. Click **Import** to bring in your spools

## After importing
Your spools will appear in the Filament Manager right away. SimplyPrint matches brands and materials against the Open Filament Database when possible, giving you accurate filament profiles with temperature settings.
