# How to update OctoPrint?

1. **Make sure your device is on the same network as your Raspberry Pi**

2. **Open the control panel by clicking on your printer and click the green "Go to OctoPrint" button at the top of the screen**

3. **Find the little wrench at the top and click it**

4. **On the left side of that menu, find "Software Update" and click it.**

5. **You will now see a list of software that OctoPrint can update. If there is an update ready for OctoPrint you will be able to click on "Update" and then "Restart" on the right side.**

6. **When it starts back up, the update should be installed and you can return to SimplyPrint without further action.**
