How to export profiles from Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, and PrusaSlicer

This article explains what to export from your desktop slicer before importing profiles into SimplyPrint Cloud Slicer.

Desktop slicer menus can change between versions. If your app looks different, look for profile, preset, configuration, or bundle export options in the desktop slicer.

Bambu Studio export preset bundle dialog

What SimplyPrint can import

The Cloud Slicer import flow accepts profile files and bundles in these formats:

  • .ini
  • .json
  • .zip
  • .orca_printer
  • .orca_filament
  • .elegoo_printer
  • .elegoo_filament
  • .bbscfg
  • .bbsflmt

If your desktop slicer can export a bundle, export the bundle. If not, export the individual printer, filament, and process or print profiles you want to use.

Bambu Studio

For Bambu Studio, export the profiles or configuration bundle that contains the printer, filament, and process presets you want to reuse.

SimplyPrint can import Bambu-style bundle files such as .bbscfg and .bbsflmt, as well as supported .json or zipped profile files.

OrcaSlicer

For OrcaSlicer, export the printer, filament, and process profiles you want to reuse.

SimplyPrint can import Orca-style bundle files such as .orca_printer and .orca_filament, as well as supported .json, .ini, or zipped profile files.

PrusaSlicer

For PrusaSlicer, export the configuration or profile files that contain the printer, filament, and print settings you want to reuse.

SimplyPrint can import supported .ini, .json, or zipped profile files.

After exporting

  1. Open Slicer or go to Settings > Slicing > Slicer profiles.
  2. Select the slicer engine that matches the exported profiles.
  3. Click Import profile.
  4. Upload the exported files.
  5. Validate the profiles.
  6. Import the profiles you want to keep.

If import does not find the right profiles

Make sure the export contains the actual custom profiles, not only a project file or a sliced G-code file.

If the file imports but the profile does not appear in the slicer, check the selected engine, printer model, nozzle, nozzle volume type, material, and profile permissions.
