How to import slicer profiles
How to import slicer profiles
You can import slicer profiles into SimplyPrint and use them in the Cloud Slicer where they are compatible with the selected engine, printer, nozzle, and material.

Before importing
If you only need the default profiles from your slicer, you may not need to import anything. The import modal states that SimplyPrint already includes the default profiles users expect from supported slicers.
Import profiles when you have custom desktop slicer profiles that you want to reuse in the Cloud Slicer.
Supported import files
The import flow accepts these file types:
.ini.json.zip.orca_printer.orca_filament.elegoo_printer.elegoo_filament.bbscfg.bbsflmt
Plain .zip files are opened by the browser and checked for supported profile files. Slicer-specific bundle files are sent as bundles so SimplyPrint can keep their profile structure.
Import profiles
- Open Slicer or go to Settings > Slicing > Slicer profiles.
- Select the slicer engine you want to import into.
- Click Import profile.
- Drag files into the import area, or click Select files.
- Click Validate profiles.
- Review the validated profiles.
- Select the profiles you want to import.
- Rename profiles if needed.
- Click Finalize and import.
What validation does
Validation checks the files before creating profiles in your account. It can detect machine, filament, and print profiles in the uploaded files.
For machine profiles, invalid variants are shown and are not imported. For valid profiles, you can review profile details before finalizing the import.
Profile limits
Imported profiles count toward your account's custom profile limit.
If your account has reached the limit, Cloud Slicer blocks profile creation and shows an upgrade prompt. Delete unused custom profiles or upgrade if you need more profile slots.
