Material doesn't match (PLA vs PETG): fixing a queue material mismatch
A free printer isn't picking up your queue item because of a material mismatch. Here's the quick fix.
What this means
SimplyPrint uses tags to route the right files to the right printers - so a job only runs on a printer that can actually print it correctly, and you don't waste time and filament printing something on the wrong setup. A file or queue item can be tagged with details like its material, color, nozzle size and bed type, and SimplyPrint also checks things like whether the model fits and whether the printer can run the file. When a printer doesn't meet one of the item's requirements, the two won't match, and the item won't start on that printer.
In this case, the item is tagged for one material (say PLA) and the printer is loaded with another (say PETG). By default SimplyPrint even distinguishes branded materials, so Generic PLA won't match Bambu Lab PLA Basic.
How to fix it
- Load the right material, or assign the correct spool to the printer.
- If the item's material tag is wrong, edit it on the item.
- Group interchangeable materials with a material cluster (Settings > Tagging), or turn off "Strict material type match" so any PLA matches any PLA.
