Send 3D models from Printpal.io to SimplyPrint

Printpal.io has a built-in Send to SimplyPrint button on every model in its library. Pick a model, hit send, and it lands in your SimplyPrint files ready to slice or print - no downloading the STL, no re-uploading, no browser extension to install.

This guide walks through the three clicks end to end.

What you need

  • A Printpal.io account (free).
  • A SimplyPrint account on any plan.
  • A browser - that's it. Nothing to install.

Step 1 - Pick a model on Printpal.io

Head to printpal.io/explore and open any model you want to print. You can also start from your own Printpal library or anywhere else on the site that shows a Print now button.

Step 2 - Send it to SimplyPrint

Click the arrow next to Print now, then pick Send to printer.

In the dialog, choose SimplyPrint.

If you're not signed in to SimplyPrint in the same browser, Printpal will bounce you through a quick login and consent screen first. Approve, and the transfer happens automatically.

Step 3 - Slice or queue in SimplyPrint

The model opens directly in the SimplyPrint slicer. From here you can:

  • Slice it with your preferred profile and send the G-code to a printer.
  • Save it to your files for later.
  • Add it to the queue to be printed on the next available matching printer.

Once a model is in SimplyPrint, everything else is identical to any other file - slice profiles, filament matching, queue rules, all of it applies.

Troubleshooting

The SimplyPrint option doesn't show up on Printpal

Make sure you're on the latest version of Printpal.io (hard-refresh the page). The integration is built in - there's no install or account-linking step on SimplyPrint's side.

I get sent to a SimplyPrint login page every time

That's expected the first time you send a model from a fresh browser session. After approving, the session is remembered for subsequent transfers.

The model imports but looks wrong in the slicer

Printpal sends the original model as-is. If the geometry looks off, re-open it in Printpal to confirm the source file is fine, or try the Re-download option on the model's SimplyPrint file entry.

Still stuck? Open a support ticket and include the Printpal model URL and a screenshot of what you see.

Happy printing!
