Temperatures don't match: a printer or filament temperature mismatch

A free printer won't pick up your queue item, and the queue inspector says the reason is a temperature mismatch. It's usually a quick fix.

What this means

SimplyPrint uses tags to route the right files to the right printers - so a job only runs on a printer that can actually print it correctly, and you don't waste time and filament printing something on the wrong setup. A file or queue item can be tagged with details like its material, color, nozzle size and bed type, and SimplyPrint also checks things like whether the model fits and whether the printer can run the file. When a printer doesn't meet one of the item's requirements, the two won't match, and the item won't start on that printer.

Either the file needs a bed, nozzle or chamber temperature that exceeds the printer's hardware maximum ("Temps"), or the file's temperatures fall outside the range of the filament currently loaded on the printer ("Filament temps").

How to fix it

  • Send the item to a printer that can reach the temperatures.
  • Load a filament whose temperature range fits the file.
  • Or, if the file's temperatures are simply wrong, re-slice with the correct ones.
