Academy reports: track course progress and completions

The Reports tab in the Academy shows you how your students or team are getting on with their courses - who has finished, who has stalled, how long they took, and how they did on quizzes. This guide covers the overview dashboard, the per-course report, individual results, and the "finished suspiciously fast" flag.

Academy reports are part of the Education (School) plan and the Enterprise plan. You also need the "View progress" permission on your user group.

Opening reports

Go to the Academy in the left menu. If you have the "View progress" permission, you will see a Reports & assignments button in the top right of the overview. Click it to open the teacher area, then choose the Reports tab.

You can also jump straight into a single course's report from its course card - the card shows a small completion count and a link through to the report for that course.

The overview dashboard

The Reports overview gives you the headline numbers for the whole account:

  • Students engaged (or "People engaged") out of the total - how many have started at least one course.
  • Course completions - the total number of completed courses.
  • Active assignments - how many assignments are currently running.
  • Assignment completion - how many assignment targets are finished out of the total.

Below the summary, two lists give you the detail:

  • Courses - every course with activity, showing completed-versus-attempted counts and a typical (median) completion time. Click any course to open its full report.
  • Recent completions - the latest people to finish a course, with the time each one spent.

Per-course reports

Click a course from the overview (or open it from a course card) to see everyone's status on that one course. At the top you get a quick breakdown: completed, in progress, not started, and the median time.

You can narrow the report with the scope filter:

  • Everyone / whole account - all members.
  • By class (school accounts) - pick a single class to see just those students.
  • By group (other accounts) - pick a user group.

The table lists each person with their status, the time they spent, and their correct-versus-wrong answer count for any quizzes in the course.

Individual results

Click any row in a per-course report (for anyone who has started the course) to open that person's detailed result. This shows how they moved through the course and how they answered each quiz question, so you can see exactly where someone struggled rather than just whether they passed.

The fast-finish flag

SimplyPrint compares each person's completion time against the median for the course. If someone finishes far faster than everyone else, they are flagged with a small gauge icon, and they may appear in a "Heads up" notice on the overview. This is not a punishment - it simply points you to results worth a second look, for example someone who clicked straight through without reading, or who already knew the material.
