Cloud Slicer quotas, limits, and usage

Cloud Slicer usage limits control how many slice jobs and custom profiles an account can use. This article explains the difference between slice usage, role quotas, and profile limits.

Slice usage

Cloud Slicer counts slice jobs, not slicing minutes.

Free and Filament Manager side-plan accounts have 15 slices per month. Basic, Pro, Print Farm, School, Enterprise, and the Cloud Slicer add-on have unlimited monthly cloud slicing.

Custom profile limits

Custom machine, filament, and print profiles count toward the account's custom profile limit.

If the account reaches its custom profile limit, Cloud Slicer blocks profile creation and import until profiles are removed or the plan is upgraded.

Usage display in the slicer

The Cloud Slicer bottom bar can show remaining slice usage.

When usage is limited, the popover shows used or remaining slices and the reset timing. When usage is unlimited, it shows unlimited usage.

Role and organization quotas

Some accounts also use role or organization quota policies. These are separate from the plan-level monthly slice limit.

For example, an account may limit or request approval for printing activity. The slicer can show a separate quota popover when a slice-related quota is active.

Upgrade prompts

When a user is close to or at the usage limit, the Cloud Slicer can show an upgrade action if the user has permission to manage upgrades.

If the user does not have billing permission, an admin may need to change the plan or quota setup.
