Joining the SimplyPrint Discord server - what is Discord, why we use it and how to access
Joining the SimplyPrint Discord server
What is Discord?
Discord is a free chat platform used by millions worldwide (and one of the most popular communication platforms overall). It lets people chat via text, voice, and video in organized communities called "servers."
You can use Discord directly in your browser or download the app for Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, or Android at discord.com/download.
Why we use Discord
Our Discord community is where SimplyPrint users, from hobbyists to schools and print farms, hang out, share tips, and help each other.
It's also where we post updates, gather feedback, and track ongoing beta programs (like our Bambu Lab and Prusa betas).
If you're running into a problem, chances are it's already been reported or discussed there. That means:
- You can see existing bug reports and follow progress.
- If it's a new issue, you'll be the first to report it, helping other users and our support team save time answering the same question twice.
How to join
- Go to simplyprint.io/discord
- If prompted, log in or create a free Discord account.
- Click "Accept Invite" to join the SimplyPrint community.
If that doesn't work, try one of our backup invite links:
What our Discord is for (and what it isn't)
Our Discord is a community space, and the best way to think of it is community support. SimplyPrint users help each other there, and our developers and team members often jump in too, frequently faster than you'd get an answer anywhere else, because both the community and our team are around.
A couple of things it is not:
- It's not the place for feature requests. Ideas for improving the platform belong in our suggestion box, where they can be voted on and tracked. See the SimplyPrint suggestion box.
- It's not a private support line. Please keep questions in the public channels rather than sending unsolicited direct messages to SimplyPrint staff. Our server rules ask you not to, and a public question lets other users learn from the answer and lets the right team member pick it up.
Community guidelines
Keep it friendly and on-topic. In short:
- Follow the server rules (pinned in the server).
- No spam. Ask your question once, in the most relevant channel. Don't cross-post or mass-tag.
- Be respectful to staff and to other community members.
- Feature ideas go in the suggestion box. Bug reports and account-specific issues go to support: live chat on our website or contact@simplyprint.io.
- No unsolicited DMs to staff. Keep it in the channels so others can benefit too.
- Be mindful of our time. We're a small team across different time zones, and we don't work weekends and holidays, so we can't promise an instant reply. The community is often around even when we're not.
Troubleshooting "Unable to accept invite"
If you see "Whoops... Unable to accept invite," try these quick fixes:
- Refresh the page and try again
- Log out of Discord and back in
- Confirm any new IP location Discord asks you to verify
- Try a different browser, or open the link in incognito mode
- Make sure you're logged into the right account
- If the issue persists, contact Discord Support - the invite might be expired, your account might be banned from the server, or you may already be in too many servers (Discord's limit is 100 without Nitro)
TL;DR
Join the SimplyPrint community on Discord to chat, get help, follow betas, and stay updated:
simplyprint.io/discord
Feature ideas go in the suggestion box, not Discord.
