Download and sign in to the SimplyPrint app
This guide walks you through installing the SimplyPrint app on iPhone, iPad, or Android, and signing in for the first time. It takes a minute or two and uses the same account you use on simplyprint.io.

Before you start
You'll need:
- A SimplyPrint account. If you don't have one, sign up at simplyprint.io/signup first - the app does not include a sign-up screen.
- The email and password you use on simplyprint.io. SSO users sign in via their school or company's identity provider.
- An internet connection. The app talks to the SimplyPrint cloud the same way the web panel does and won't work fully offline.
Download for iOS
The SimplyPrint app is on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad.
- Open the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
- Search for SimplyPrint, or tap this link from your iPhone: SimplyPrint on the App Store.
- Tap Get and confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, or your Apple ID password.
- Wait for the install to finish, then tap Open.
The app runs on iPhone and iPad. There's no separate iPad app - the same build adapts to tablet layouts.
Download for Android
The SimplyPrint app is on the Google Play Store for Android phones and tablets.
- Open the Play Store on your Android phone or tablet.
- Search for SimplyPrint, or tap this link from your Android device: SimplyPrint on Google Play.
- Tap Install and wait for the install to finish.
- Tap Open.
First launch
On first launch, the app shows a sign-in screen. Tap Sign in to continue. There's no separate sign-up option in the app; new accounts are created at simplyprint.io/signup.
Sign in with email and password
If you signed up on simplyprint.io with an email and password:
- Enter the email address tied to your SimplyPrint account.
- Enter your password.
- Tap Sign in.
If your account has two-factor authentication enabled, you'll be prompted for your 2FA code right after the password.
Sign in with SSO (Schools + Enterprise)
If you signed up through your school or company's SSO (single sign-on) provider:
- Tap Sign in with SSO on the sign-in screen.
- Enter your work or school email.
- The app redirects you to your SSO provider's sign-in page.
- Sign in with your usual SSO credentials.
- You'll be sent back to the SimplyPrint app, now signed in.
SSO is configured by your SimplyPrint administrator. If the SSO sign-in fails, contact your administrator - they manage the identity-provider connection.
Two-factor authentication
If your account has 2FA on, the app prompts for your 6-digit code right after the password step. Use the same authenticator app (Google Authenticator, 1Password, Authy, etc.) you set up on simplyprint.io.
The app remembers the device for future sessions, so you only need 2FA again if you sign out manually or your session expires.
Granting notification permission
The first time the app opens after sign-in, your phone will ask whether SimplyPrint can send notifications. Tap Allow.

Granting camera and microphone permission
The app does not need your phone's camera or microphone for normal use. Those permissions are only requested if you actively scan a filament NFC tag (Android-only feature) or use a feature that calls them out explicitly. You can leave them off until prompted.
Switching between accounts
If you belong to multiple SimplyPrint accounts - for example, a teacher who's also in a maker collective at home - the app remembers each session.
- Open the account menu (top-right avatar or side menu).
- Tap your current account name.
- Select another signed-in account, or tap Add account to sign in to a new one.
Each account stays signed in until you sign out of it explicitly. Push notifications fire from whichever accounts you've left signed in.
Signing out
- Open the account menu.
- Scroll to Sign out.
- Confirm.
Signing out stops push notifications from that account on this device.
Troubleshooting sign-in
- "Invalid credentials": double-check the email is the one you signed up with. Password reset is at simplyprint.io/login (the "Forgot password" link).
- SSO redirect loops: clear the app's web view cache from your phone's app settings, then retry.
- 2FA code keeps failing: confirm your phone's clock is set to automatic / network time - 2FA codes are time-based and drift if the clock is wrong.
- App stuck on splash screen: kill the app from the recent-apps switcher and reopen. If it persists, uninstall and reinstall.
