Stuck on loading? Clear cache, try incognito, or another browser

Symptoms this article covers: SimplyPrint shows old data, a feature doesn't behave the way the docs say, the page partially loads, an error appears right after you log in, or something works in another browser but not your usual one.

A hard refresh, an incognito window, or another browser will tell you which of "bad cache", "extension", or "deeper" you're dealing with.

1. Hard refresh (try this first)

Skips your local cache and fetches everything fresh from the server. Fixes the majority of "stuck on old version" problems.

  • Windows / Linux: Ctrl + Shift + R or Ctrl + F5
  • Mac: Cmd + Shift + R

If a hard refresh fixes it, you don't need anything else. Your browser had a stale copy of a file that's since been updated.

2. Clear cached files for SimplyPrint only

If hard refresh doesn't work, clear just the SimplyPrint cache (no need to nuke everything).

Chrome / Edge / Brave: open SimplyPrint → press F12 to open DevTools → right-click the refresh button → choose Empty cache and hard reload.

Firefox:

  1. Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
  2. Search "simplyprint" → Remove Selected

Safari:

  1. Safari menu → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
  2. Search "simplyprint" → Remove

3. Try incognito / private window

Skips most cookies and disk cache - good for ruling out "bad local state".

  • Chrome / Edge / Brave: Ctrl + Shift + N (or Cmd + Shift + N)
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P (or Cmd + Shift + P)
  • Safari: Cmd + Shift + N

In Chrome, extensions are NOT off in incognito unless you've explicitly disabled "Allow in incognito" for each one. Verify before drawing conclusions.

4. Try a different browser

We tune SimplyPrint for the three biggest:

Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Arc are all Chrome-based - they usually behave the same as Chrome. Zen is Firefox-based - same idea. If you've tried Chrome AND Firefox AND Edge and the problem persists, the cause isn't the browser.
