How to join the refer a friend program and share your link
The refer a friend program is open to every SimplyPrint account, but you have to opt in once before your link is generated. This guide walks through joining the program, copying your link, and the different ways you can share it.
For the program overview, see The refer a friend program: earn credit for every signup.

Joining the program
Open the refer a friend page from the user menu in the top right of the panel, or go directly to simplyprint.io/panel/refer-a-friend. The first time you land there, a popup appears explaining the program.

The popup lists the program rules. The most important ones:
- You must know the people you refer. Mass-blasting your link to strangers is not allowed.
- No fake signups, no IP fraud, no self-referrals. Accounts caught doing this lose access to the program and any unpaid credit.
- Referred users get a discount on signup as a thank-you, so there's a real incentive for them to use your link.
Click "Agree and join program" to opt in. Your personal referral link is generated immediately and the rest of the page becomes visible.
Where your link lives
Once you've joined, the share box sits near the top of the page. It shows your personal referral URL, a copy button, and the social and email share controls.

Your link is unique to your account. Anyone who clicks it gets a tracking cookie that ties them to you for a set attribution window, so the referral counts even if they don't sign up immediately on the first visit.
Copying and sharing
The simplest option is the copy button next to your link. Click it and the URL goes straight to your clipboard, ready to paste into a message, an email, a Discord channel, or anywhere else.
Next to the link is a row of one-click share buttons. Each one opens the platform's share dialog with a pre-filled message that names SimplyPrint and includes your link. The current options cover:
- Twitter / X
- Email (opens your default mail app)
- Telegram
The pre-filled message is editable in the share dialog, so you can rewrite it before posting.
Sending direct emails
For people you know personally, there's a built-in email sender. Enter up to ten email addresses (one per field, with "Add another" to extend the list) and click send. SimplyPrint sends each recipient an email from your name with your referral link.
Embedding a badge on your site
If you run a website, blog, or product page related to 3D printing, you can embed a "Powered by SimplyPrint" or "Compatible with SimplyPrint" badge. The badges section sits further down the refer a friend page and offers three colour styles (dark, blue, light) across three message variants:
- Powered by SimplyPrint - for sites and tools that use SimplyPrint underneath.
- Works with SimplyPrint - for hardware and accessories.
- Compatible with SimplyPrint - generic compatibility statement.

Pick the variant and colour that fits your site, copy the HTML or markdown snippet, and paste it into your page. The badge image links back to SimplyPrint using your referral link, so every visitor who clicks it counts as a tracked visit.
Tips for sharing well
A few things worth keeping in mind:
- Lead with the use case, not the product. "If you've ever managed multiple printers from one dashboard..." converts better than "Try SimplyPrint!".
- Mention the trial. Referred accounts get extra trial days and a signup discount. Saying that up front is fair to your audience and improves conversion.
- Use the badge on a printer setup page or a 3D printing blog post. It's there forever and quietly accumulates visits.
- Don't spam. Friends, colleagues, classmates, your makerspace, your Discord with active members. That's the right audience. Cold lists are not.
