The refer a friend program: earn credit for every signup
Every SimplyPrint account comes with a personal referral link. Share it, and when someone signs up and starts paying, you get credit applied to your next invoice. There's no application to fill out, no audience requirement, and no quota. You agree to the terms once, get your link, and that's it.
This guide explains how the program works, what you actually get, and where to find each piece of it in your account. Each section links out to a more detailed article on a specific part of the program.

Where to find it
The refer a friend page lives at simplyprint.io/panel/refer-a-friend. You can also reach it from the user menu in the top right of the panel under "Refer a friend".
The page is the same whether you've joined the program or not. If you haven't joined yet, a popup explains the terms and asks you to agree before showing your link.
How the program works
The flow is the same for everyone:
- Join the program once. A short popup explains the terms; you agree and get a personal referral link tied to your account.
- Share the link. Send it directly, post it on social, embed a "Powered by SimplyPrint" badge on your site, or use the built-in email sender for people you know.
- Someone signs up through your link. SimplyPrint tracks the visit and ties the new account to you. They get a discount on their first months as a thank-you for signing up through a referral.
- They become a paying account. Once a referred account upgrades and pays, it counts as a converted referral for the rewards program.
- You unlock rewards. At fixed referral counts (1, 2, 10, 20, 50), you unlock credit and extras like free extra GB and free extra printer slots. Credit is applied to your next invoice automatically.

What you can earn
The refer a friend baseline rewards anyone who refers a paying account that adds a printer. The full reward ladder is listed in the Tracking referrals and unlocking rewards article. At a high level you get:
- Invoice credit at 1, 2, 10, 20, and 50 referred paying accounts. The amounts scale with how many people you've referred.
- Free extra printer slots at 6 and 25 referrals.
- Free extra GB of file storage at 2 and 8 referrals.
Credit is paid out in your account's currency and shows up as a balance entry that's automatically subtracted from your next invoice.
The hero stats row
At the top of the page is a row of stat boxes that show your program activity at a glance:
- Referred accounts - total signups that used your link or code.
- Unique link visits - people who clicked your link, whether or not they signed up.
- Rewards unlocked - how many of the reward tiers you've reached out of the total available.
- Money saved on own subscription - cumulative credit you've earned, shown in your billing currency.

Building blocks of the program
The page is split into a few distinct surfaces. Each one is covered in its own article so you can jump straight to what you need.
Joining and sharing your link
The first step is joining the program and getting your link. From there you can copy it, post it to social with one click, embed a badge on your website, or send it directly to people you know via email.

Tracking referrals and unlocking rewards
The page shows your converted referrals and the reward ladder. You can see which tiers you've unlocked, which are coming up next, and exactly what each tier pays out.

Getting credit on your invoice
Once a reward is unlocked, the credit appears as a balance entry on your account. The balances table at the bottom of the page shows every credit you've earned and what's already been applied to invoices.

Joining and sharing your link
You'll be prompted to join the first time you visit the page. The popup explains the terms (you must know the people you refer, no spam, no fake signups) and confirms you understand. After you agree, your link is generated immediately and the share box appears.
The share options include direct copy, one-click share buttons for popular platforms, an "invite by email" form for people you know, and a set of "Powered by SimplyPrint" / "Compatible with SimplyPrint" badges you can embed on your own site.
Tracking referrals and unlocking rewards
The hero stats row gives you the headline numbers. Further down the page is the full rewards table, which shows every tier in the program with how many referrals you need, what you'll unlock, and whether it's already been awarded.
The "Referred accounts" stat counts every signup, but only accounts that have added a printer count toward the rewards table. This is intentional: a signup that never installs anything isn't a real referral.
Getting credit on your invoice
SimplyPrint stores your earned credit as a balance entry tied to your account. Each entry has an amount, a currency, an origin (which lists which reward unlocked it), and an "available after" date. On your next billing date, eligible balance entries are automatically subtracted from the invoice total.
You can see the full history in the balances table at the bottom of the page. Every entry shows what triggered it, when it became available, whether it's been applied, and which invoice it landed on.
If you have a real audience, look at the affiliate program instead
The refer a friend program is built for one-off recommendations to people you know. If you have a real audience (a YouTube channel, blog, podcast, social following, or industry presence), the affiliate program is the better fit. Approved affiliates get ongoing percentage commission instead of fixed reward tiers, plus payouts, multiple referral codes, and a promotional asset pack.
You can apply from the refer a friend page itself: there's a banner near the top that links into the application form.
