Who is this for
The affiliate program is built for people whose recommendation can reach a real audience. The application asks for proof of that reach. We approve:
- YouTube channels with 1,000+ subscribers, especially in 3D printing, maker, or tech content.
- Bloggers and websites with a meaningful monthly visitor count in the 3D printing space.
- Podcasters and newsletter publishers with a focused audience.
- Social media creators (TikTok, Instagram, Twitter / X, Twitch) with engaged followings.
- Business owners in the 3D printing industry whose customers might benefit from SimplyPrint.
Casual recommendations to friends and colleagues are the refer a friend program's job, not this one. The split is intentional: this program pays cash, has a manual review, and is designed for serving an audience.
How approval works
You apply through the application form linked from the affiliate program panel page. The form asks for:
- Your name and contact email.
- Your channel / business name and main link.
- Optional secondary and additional links (socials, etc).
- Subscriber / follower / monthly visitor count.
- Average views or interactions per post or month.
- Whether you've used SimplyPrint before, and if so, how.
SimplyPrint reviews each application manually. Approval isn't instant; expect a couple of business days for the team to look at it. If approved, your account is upgraded to affiliate status and the dashboard appears the next time you load the page.
If your application isn't approved, you stay in the refer a friend program with full access to invoice credit. Applying doesn't put your existing program at risk.
What you get paid
Commission is paid as a percentage of the subscription revenue from each account you refer:
- 70% on the first monthly payment (40% if the customer pays yearly).
- 30% for the rest of the first year (40% for yearly).
- 15% recurring after the first year, for as long as the account stays subscribed.
Commission accrues to your affiliate balance as referred accounts pay. Once the balance is past the available-after window, it's eligible for payout. Payouts run on a configurable schedule (default every 14 days) via PayPal, with Wise and bank transfer planned.

Where to find the dashboard
The affiliate dashboard lives at simplyprint.io/panel/affiliate-program. Unapproved users on the same URL see the lightweight refer a friend UI plus a "join the affiliate program" CTA. Once you're approved, the dashboard takes over.
You can also reach it from the user menu in the top right of the panel.
Building blocks of the program
The dashboard is split into cards. Each one has its own article so you can jump straight to what you need.

Applying to be an affiliate
You apply through the popup that opens from the "Get paid: join our affiliate partner program" banner on the affiliate page (or any "become an affiliate" link on the SimplyPrint website). The popup explains the program and links into the form.
The form takes a few minutes to complete. Honesty is more useful than inflation; reviewers cross-check claimed numbers against the linked channels.
How commission works
The percentages above are the defaults. SimplyPrint can customise commission per affiliate if the situation warrants it (big creators, niche placements), but the defaults apply to everyone at approval. Worked examples are in the How affiliate commission works article.
The attribution window is 16 months by default. That means a click on your link followed by a signup within the next 16 months counts as your referral. Long-tail content keeps earning long after publication.
Managing your referral codes
You get one main code on approval and can request more through support. Each code has:
- Its own short URL (
simplyprint.io/?code=yourcode). - Optional custom landing page routing (so visitors land on a specific page tailored to your audience).
- Optional coupon override (give your audience a stronger discount than the default).
- Optional UTM campaign and medium for analytics.
Codes can be deactivated or expired so you can spin up campaign-specific URLs.
Payouts
Payouts go out on your configured schedule (default 14 days) as long as your available balance is above the minimum payout amount. The current method options are PayPal (live), with Wise and bank transfer in development.
You configure all this in the payout settings card on the dashboard. The card also surfaces your next payout date and the amount queued for it.
Balances and commission history
The balances card shows your pending, available, and paid balances. Below it, the commission list itemises every commission earned per referral so you can see exactly what each customer contributed.
The "money saved on own subscription" stat (if you have your own SimplyPrint subscription) shows how much of your earnings was used to offset your own subscription rather than paid out.
Promotional assets
The promotional assets card includes downloadable banners, ready-to-paste copy snippets, embed badges in three colour styles, and "Powered by SimplyPrint" / "Works with SimplyPrint" graphics. Everything pre-baked with your referral link.
